Happy Anniversay!

Dear Mom & Dad,

Happy 46th Anniversary! Is it your 46th? How old am I? I keep losing count. Let's see, my almost-age plus 10 years = yup, 46. Where did the time go? More importantly, how have you stayed together so long? Oh, that's right, you're shared love for Disney. The powerful magic of mouse amore!

I had no idea what to give you as an anniversary gift, so I decided your own website would be fun.
It wasn't until after I bought the domain name (hope you like it) and started designing it that I realized I have inevitably set up myself for countless phone calls from one or both of you asking me how to do something website related. How to post. How to add photos. How to change a graphic. How to whatever.
Lucky for you, part of your gift is that I agree to be your 24-7 Help Desk.

Knowing you, you're reading this and asking, "What do we do with our own website?"
The easy answer is, anything you want!
Artists have already created custom fonts and cartoon graphics for you. (Ha. You're welcome.)
I've already designed it, and set you up with a blog and Mouse Amore email account (and Twitter!) Now, you can lovingly argue about what you should and shouldn't post.

You could blog about your travels, Disney news and tips, shelling, or whatever tickles your fancy.
You may even meet some new blog friends!

Even if you don't use it, I figure it's the thought that counts, right? (At least that's what you guys taught me.) And you'll always have the cute cartoon drawings. And it's better than a store-bought anniversary card.

So, Happy Anniversary! I love you both very, very much.
Thanks for sticking together through the good and bad. And thanks to Disney for making your relationship, and our lives, a little more magical.

Pretty in Pictures

For those reading this, I (the daughter of the Mouse Amore couple) am writing this post. (And the previous post, and one or two that will follow this one.) Why? Because this website is an anniversary gift from me to my parents. I don't know if they'll actually use it, but I figured it's worth a try. Add blogging to their list of retirement hobbies? Maybe. Time will tell.

BUT, even if they don't end up using the blog, I think it's a cute little tribute to their relationship, and at least they'll always have the cute cartoon artwork. For the record, I didn't create these cartoons. (I have no drawing talent.) But I think the artists did a fabulous job. What do you think?
